Load testing is performed before a website or web application is launched and monitoring is continuously required 24x7 after the release. Rather than sampling infrastructure parameter values, it is programmed virtual users that accurately test the system under load and later reused for monitoring and alerting on performance-related events.

Web Performance System (WPS) is both a product and a managed service developed and delivered by Ginsbourg.com. It offers continuous visibility into the availability and user experience of business-oriented websites and web applications.

Before releasing any website and web application, WPS executes a load test in order to detect all virtual bottlenecks by groups of programmed virtual users. Later, after the release, WPS continues running as a background process (and on any display), providing IT teams with critical alerts, performance metrics, and scheduled reports.

WPS enables identification and immediate response to a very wide set of predefined conditions in order to guarantee a highly positive customer and end-user experience. It can be configured to run in the desired frequency 24x7 (once a minute, once an hour, or daily). While monitoring production websites and web applications, it launches Apache Jmeter scripts of any virtual user type without adding a noticeable load to the monitored websites and web applications.

The ultimate goal of Ginsbourg.co.il is to deliver a powerful and reliable platform to allow IT teams continuous monitoring and control of their systems. Ideally, scripts that have already been prepared for load testing, and previously used for validating the performance of the websites and web applications, can now be reused for ongoing performance monitoring.

WPS currently runs on a virtual machine that can be played on any existing hardware, virtual host, or cloud. A Load Test Report (LTR) is delivered before the release, and later, after the release, WPS sends alerts by email (and optional SMS) for any deviation from the required Service Level Agreement (SLA). Daily performance reports are also available by mail.
